There are two costs to Rapid participation, a one-time setup cost and an annual maintenance charge. Annual maintenance is based on a July-June fiscal year and is pro-rated as appropriate. First year costs include both the setup and maintenance fee. Contact for more information.

About RapidILL
Designed for libraries with fast-paced ILL departments that handle a large number of borrowing and lending article requests, RapidILL is a unique resource-sharing system created by the Interlibrary Loan staff at Colorado State University Libraries.
"Pods" of like libraries share journal articles. Pods can be grouped by Carnegie Classification sets, or can be private pods available to members only. Once your library joins a pod, it can belong to as many other pods for which it meets the membership requirements and service expectations, at no additional charge. Libraries should expect to receive at least 50-60 requests per month in Rapid.
RapidILL Saves Your Library...
- valuable staff time, by automating borrowing tasks like selecting lenders, and verifying holdings and locations.
- lending staff time, because in Rapid, your library receives requests only for material your library owns, and your library's local call number and library location are already embedded.
- searching and transactions charges; within the Rapid system, there are no charges for these processes, and because of Rapid's reciprocal lending policy, there are no invoicing costs.
