The second of three Web 2.0 conferences with Polly!
This workshop will explore how blogs can be used in libraries, both as an information source and as a method to distribute information. We will look at some popular library blogs and you will create your own using Wordpress.com, a free, hosted blogging service. We will also look at how libraries are using flickr to share photos from library events, exhibits and more to reach out to patrons, during the class you’ll set up a free flickr account, upload and organize photos and add photos to your blog. If possible, bring some of your own digital photos to the class for use in the flickr exercises.

Before forming her own training and consulting firm in 1997, Polly was a librarian at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute for 17 years, working in Reference, Government Documents, ILL and Information Systems.
