It's Better Out in the Open (Source): Build Your Digital Library with Greenstone
Greenstone is free, open source software that can take all those scanned images you have sitting on a hard drive and serve them up on the Web. Using a combination of watching how to use the software followed by hands-on exercises, this workshop will provide you with some dedicated time to sit down and learn what Greenstone is and what Greenstone can do. Full-day. Hands-on.
After taking this class, you will know how to:
- Install a Greenstone library.
- Use the Greenstone Librarian Interface.
- Add descriptive information to digital files.
- Use collection configuration files.
