How to Get to the Western New York Library Resources Council

The Council's office is located in the located in the General Dynamics complex at 4455 Genesee St., near the airport.

From the West

Take the Thruway to Exit 51 E, Route 33, to the Greater Buffalo International Airport exit. Follow Genesee St. past the airport, the Radisson Hotel, and the Day's Inn/Arby's until you reach the first traffic signal in front of General Dynamics. You will see a group of signs to your right, one of which says "Western New York Library Resources Council." Turn right into General Dynamics at the first signal.

From the East

Take the Thruway to Exit 49, Transit Rd. Turn right (south) onto Transit. Take Transit to Genesee Street (second light). Turn right onto Genesee. Go a mile or so until you get to General Dynamics which is on the left side. Turn left at the second entrance with the signal light. You will see a group of signs, one of which says "Western New York Library Resources Council."

Upon arriving:

Upon arriving at General Dynamics, you may park in the visitors lot directly in front of the building on the left of the driveway. Enter the building through the door at the end of the building directly in front of the parking lot. This is WNYLRC’s main entrance. If there are no parking spaces directly in front of the WNYLRC offices proceed right on Genesee and enter at the next red light, park in the front and walk down to the the WNYLRC entrance.

Special Needs:

Individuals needing the assistance of a ramp or elevator must park in the General Dynamics parking lot located at the second turn signal (see map on WNYLRC page http://www.wnylrc.org/Directions/howtoenter.htm). Sign in and tell the receptionist you are here to visit WNYLRC and need to use the elevator. Either the receptionist or you will call up to WNYLRC to let us know you have arrived. A WNYLRC staff member will come and escort you up.
