Connexion Browser

OCLC Connexion browser makes OCLC cataloging available by way of its Web interface. The Connexion browser is utilized like any Web site through a standard browser such as Microsoft Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator.

This interface provides all the advantages inherent in a Web view: It is easy to learn, navigate and use. Browser-based functionality ensures that you're always using the latest version; no software updates are required.

Some Connexion functionality is available only from the browser version. These are:

• Dublin Core format for creating, editing, and exporting bibliographic records.
• Access to WebDewey and Abridged WebDewey.
• Access to the CatExpress option for copy cataloging.
• Access to Pathfinders and Digital Archive functionality.
• Access to interactive Local Holdings Maintenance.

NOTE; Some Connexion functionality, such as macros, offline cataloging, batch processing, and cataloging using Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Hebrew, Cyrillic, Greek, Thai, and Tamil scripts, is available only in the Windows-based Connexion client.
